Nykytanssi ja kokeellinen elektroninen musiikki kohtaavat tanssitaiteilija Alina Sakon ja säveltäjä Mikko Sarvanteen kestollisissa improvisaatioissa Galleria Huudon aulatilassa. Yhteistyö perustuu halulle antaa aikaa tanssin ja soinnin äärellä oloon – jakaa kohtaamisessa esiinpuhkeavaa yleisön kanssa.

Mikko: Olen kiinnostunut ääniolion liikkeestä tilassa, suhteessa liikkuvaan ruumiiseen. Miten ruumiin liike ja äänen liike siirtyvät toisiinsa, lävistävät toisensa?

Alina: Odotan pääseväni elämään yhdessä luomaamme, kerta kerralta uudeksi syntyvää maailmojen kirjoa. On ihanaa kuinka yhteisen harjoittamisen kautta aukeaa reittejä paikkoihin jonne ei yksin pääse. Oma tanssi tulee heilautetuksi, töytäistyksi hiukan toisaalle.

Contemporary dance and experimental electronic music meet in durational improvisations by dance artist Alina Sakko and composer Mikko Sarvanne in the lobby space of Galleria Huuto. The collaboration is based on a desire to give time for plainly being with dance and sound—to share with the audience what emerges in the encounter.

Mikko: I am interested in the movement of a sound entity in space, in relation to a moving body. How do the movement of the body and the movement of sound transfer into one another, pierce through one another?

Alina: I look forward to living through all the newly born worlds we will create together, moment by moment. I really enjoy how practising together opens up new paths to places where I don’t end up alone. My own dance gets softly shaken.
