Jaakko Arola is a musician, improviser, composer and instrument-maker from Finland. His current practice is centred around expanding the acoustic timbral possibilities of the bass clarinet.
Arola explores the bass clarinet as a polyphonic instrument through shimmering multiphonics and gradually evolving drones. Additionally he modifies the clarinet’s timbre by handcrafted mouthpieces and extended playing techniques influenced by traditional flutes.

Mark Reid Bulatović is a guitarist and composer originally from Slovenia and Scotland.
His biases are placed at the intersection of ecology, intimacy and ritual.
Artistically he is interested in the concert as material in itself - physical theatre masquerading as something abstract. In his practice, the super-musical elements of concerts are explored.
