Lines in the Sky – Release Concert
30.10.26
Friday, 19:00 - 21:00
Villa Hakasalmi
Töölönlahdenkatu 2, Helsinki
Lines in the Sky returns to the place where it was born. To celebrate the release of the album on 577 Records, guitarist and composer Gon Muruaga returns to Villa Hakasalmi, reuniting with Liudas Mockūnas and joined by Chris Corsano for an evening of free jazz and experimental music shaped by the same spirit of spontaneous creation that gave birth to the album.
Lines in the Sky documents the first recorded meeting between Gon Muruaga, Liudas Mockūnas, and Teemu Mustonen. Rather than following predetermined forms, the music unfolds through attentive listening, collective improvisation, and the unique dialogue that emerges between the musicians in real time.
For this release concert, Chris Corsano joins Gon Muruaga and Liudas Mockūnas for a new chapter in the journey of Lines in the Sky. Rather than recreating the album, the trio continues its exploration of free improvisation, allowing the music to develop organically through interaction, openness, and the unexpected.
